Default anyone installed After-market gt3rs wing/decklid?

anyone tried after-market .2 rs rear wing/decklid on your non-rs 911s?

mine is 2010 gt3, and I love the original rear wing, but...wanna go for

little more aggressive look( plus more downforce as well..)

I've searched, and found few suppliers, but can't decide between

FVD vs gettydesign.

I want to have some advice if anyone knows their quality.

I know OEM is always best, but dont wanna spend over 10K just for rear wing/decklid.

thank you all, drive safe.

Anyone have experience with the getty 997.1 cup car deck lid, uprights, and wing? Just wondering how the fit/finish is. Some preliminary searching says some minor work needs to be done to fit perfectly. Just wondering what the "minor work" means. A lot of sanding? etc?

Don't do it. As Mooty said do it right or don't do it at all. Ask around to the cup car owners , they usually have spares to sell. That's how I got my OEM 2010+ cup bodywork for cheaper than these crappy aftermarket options.

Also look into new cup parts as they are cheaper than oem road car parts. Case in point , 2010 rs trim panel between deck lid and window- 800, same part but cup car part number- 450 new from Porsche

I recently installed a Getty RS Wing on my Cayman. The parting line on leading and trailing edge of the wing needed minor filling, sanding, and then paint at parting line prior to clear coat. Wing base was fiberglass and also needed the same treatment at parting lines and overall, more sanding. I was very happy with packaging and fit.

Hmm but the cup decklid isn't designed to work with the regular gt3 since it's got a central intake right? What bodywork stuff did you get?

You are thinking of the old style cup deck lid that had that special intake. I was referring to the .2 cup

As for what bodywork stuff, 2012 cup front fenders and flares, bumpers, deck lid

Not sure how much you want to spend but the GMG Carbon Decklid is a great fit and finish

Oooo...so the .2 cup decklid can go on our 997.1 without using a different intake? Direct swap? Even has the correct placement for the fan?

Take pics of your new setup. I haven't seen it since the last time we met. Also, if you're getting the wider front setup, did you get wider wheels too or are you running RS wheels now?

MikejGT3, yep..saw that thread
