Gentlemen,
I recently got a GT3rs and i have noticed that changing through gears is a bit hard in a way that sometimes i hear a grind while shifting. I have noticed that since i tracked the car this has worsen. Whats weird is i took it to the dealership and they took a look at it and they told me the gear/ clutch is are in a perfect working condition, but im not convinced!
Has anyone had the same problem?
Should i be worried?
Any recommendations?

Not normal once car is warmed up. When cold tranny can be notchy. But once warm the tranny is one of the best I've ever driven (and I had an S2000 which is probably the best tranny action). Its very smooth and very positive into each gear, like click, click when shifting, no grinding at all.

When this started happening to me (difficult shifts and grinding gears) my 3.8rs pressure plate let go at the next de (happened to be COTA)
This weekend at COTA, it started to happen again (new 4.0pp this time). I stopped shifting down to 2nd, and I moved shifts to much much later in the braking Zones so happening at lower rpm. That cleared things up. Seems to be temperature related when it starts getting fussy (I'm running delvac fluid). The transmission/clutch seem to be a weak link in the rs. Texas RS had the same problem with his brand new gt2rs pp/clutch in his 3.8rs. We were being pretty aggressive with the cars, in the 25-26s lap time range.
I might switch to miller gear fluid to see if it helps.

Something is wrong , The gear should never grind under road driving conditions and 15 - 20 Min track sessions
Might be Flywheel , Pressure plate , Engine/Tranny Mounts
I found that the Factory gear fluid fill is the smoothest , when the dealer changed my transmission oil it became a little notchy but perfect when warmed up

You have a problem. As others stated, you should not have any gear grinding, period. Does the clutch disengage fully? Besides all the major components mentioned the clutch hydraulic system must be in proper working condition.

SNB, You might have been out beating on your clutch and tranny, I was just out for a Saturday cruise in the Austin country-side ![Cool](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/cool.gif)
My car is actually in the shop and they are getting ready to pull the transmission. The mechanics originally said everything was fine, so I suggested they drive it with intent. When they leaned on it a little it gave them a little difficulty.
I'll let you know what we find, including how the GT2 RS PP is holding up.
And while we are at it, my little drive in the Austin county-side was cut short by a radiator leak, the second one in 3 months. The first leak was on the right radiator and this one was on the center radiator. Neither were punctures.
