SS all day!

Did not improve on my lap since the last visit to Sebring.
Best today was 2:27 on Hoosier.

Saw some Goldcrest cars today ;-)
Randy is threatening to sign me up for racing tomorrow.
I'll be too hungover to handle those kind of logistics

We had good pace, quali'ed 6th overall, but had to park for 45 minutes or so when the windshield fogged up and could not be cleared. Lost 16 laps in the pits due to the issue and fell to 38th out of 40 (two cars had already retired).

Managed to climb back to 21st and finished, you guessed it, 16 laps behind P1 in class and P3 overall. Not bad for a measly 996 street car conversion with a stock engine. Dave Scott, co-driving with me, put in a fantastic stint in the evening on very worn tires. Had a blast, learned a ton about racing in the rain, racing at night, and racing in the rain at night!
Fun times, Rob! Yeah, was able to do 42 flats in the wet on very worn rears last night. That was right in line with the pace of the faster driver in the class-leading Cayman, my pro friend John Lewis. But those 16 laps could not be gotten back. Besides endless mud and schmutzy glare on the windshield, once we got back in the race, the car was fantastic.

Tomorrow we start working with your data and video.

The 6 hour was a great event and a true test of endurance racing. Thanks PBOC! For an idea of how much water was coming down see this short clip of one of the restarts.

Looks like that exe-tc suspension is putting in work.

Wait, no I was wrong, Clarke qualified at a 2:20 in a different number car in the same class. Pretty sure Clarke did a 2:16 yesterday. Must be having some issues, or conserving tires.

Quali was a cluster-F today. Black flag, emergency vehicles on track, etc. I know I never got a flying lap in and I would guess many are in the same boat. For perspective my quali time was 5 seconds off the last quali time I had here.

I qualified in the 2011 RS. 220. Almost no laps bc wrecks. Sold the RS before the race to same person I bought it from 1.5 years ago. At last minute put gas in GT3 which hadn't been touched since 6 hour. Went grid hoped for best. Started 23 by end 1 lap in 15th. Passed 996 cup, 997 cup and viper to finish 12th.

I forgot to get the data card from steve....there are there is a great video of me in a nose to tail battle with a radical during the enduro....I decided to try to follow him thru Bishops and outbrake him into 15a....had to take the Clarke version of 15 disregarding 15 proceeding to 16....after to laps of driving Sebring as a 16 turn track I finally got him in 17

mental note.....996 cup cannot stop or grip in corners like a radical

Steve and Stu were great for sharing their cups with me during the endruo....fun stuff
