I went the other way and decided to add a little weight. Is it still a night race if you bring your own sun?

I feel sorry for anyone in front of you...lol. They'll need SPF50.

Looks like it will be a great turnout. My little Radical left Vegas today, prepped and ready for the 6 hour. Look forward to meeting some right coast racers and Porsche fans. Cheers.

Well from experience at a Skip Barber in the rain, it is REALLY easy to spin in 15 B if you forget to stay off the race line. :-). Fortunately I didn't hit anything. Prior to going out in the rain we stopped at a few corners, got out and rubbed our shoes in various locations to get a mental picture of how ice slick the race line is in the wet. The same rub test off line felt like sandpaper. That was a cool little exercise.

Quali plus entire 6 hour race was in mist, rain, and mud. We put the rains on and they never came off. We had good pace, quali'ed 6th overall, but had to park for 45 minutes or so when the windshield fogged up and could not be cleared. Lost 16 laps in the pits due to the issue and fell to 38th out of 40 (two cars had already retired).

Managed to climb back to 21st and finished, you guessed it, 16 laps behind P1 in class and P3 overall. Not bad for a measly 996 street car conversion with a stock engine. Dave Scott, co-driving with me, put in a fantastic stint in the evening on very worn tires. Had a blast, learned a ton about racing in the rain, racing at night, and racing in the rain at night!

It was awesome, we came in second in class on front of you.
My 3 co drivers all spun at least twice, I didn't and I had the roughest session.
I claim victory for not crashing the car :-)

It was so cool.

Today 40 + seconds faster in the dark
