My Singer 911 2014 Restoration

And to the OP, wow a Singer! What beautiful cars! Better make room for it in your house, ala Magnum PI, or put a cot in the garage!

Of course color is a very personal choice, and the car will look perfect in any shade you choose, I'm sure... but this green really jumped out at me. Saw last weekend in Irvine. Owner mentioned the color (its OEM) but I have forgotten what he said it was. Looked fantastic.
No school, Like old school!
and congrats!

There is already so much flavor in this thread brewing.
Day 1: I am already getting anxious. Spent a good bit more time than necessary trolling SVD reviews and videos. I did not realize how much of a press-coverage and exposure explosion the firm has had this year. There is a lot of material out there, all incredibly consistently positive. It will be hard to settle into a slow burn cadence on this project.
I enjoy the light / baby blues a-la Gulf and Sky Blue .. also the gorgeous creams and subtle greys that have been seen on the SVD models. Green is appealing too although stronger in nature. That seems to be one of the first dimensions to sort out: strong or subtle?
Also, I am super eager to see the ideas from SVD: they have a palette of their own custom colors that they think are reflective of the spirit of the vehicle. Those may well turn out to be a nicely curated list to work from.
Reflecting out of the box about whether I should start a blog to more diligently write about this undertaking from inception through milestones. There is no 'end' of the story as I would expect even post delivery to have a story to it. Memorialize for my kids to read when they look back in 20 years and wonder about this 'classic' car and where it came from.

Makes me wonder why people don't convert the old torsion bar systems to inboard pushrod coil-overs using the torsion bar to transfer the motion through the chassis. Such a clean look (until you get brakes and cooling ducts everywhere.)

Sorry, too shines and German taxi for me.
I love those plain greys and blues..
You pick WTFYW of course, but we're sure enjoying your mind screwing trying to make it perfect for you.
This new careful consideration thing will be a lot of fun for you to do and for us to follow. Thanks.

They talked about and drove the Singer on Top Gear UK this season (premiered on BBC America last week)...
Nice choice. Looking forward to seeing your color choice.
