Default DIY Weekend

Completed oil / filter, air filter, serpentine belt change and engine compartment detail yesterday. Just wanted to say what a great site Rennlist is, could not have done it as quickly and error free without it. Having a ball with this car. Thanks!!

Awesome!!

I had a bit of a weekend working on the car too

I changed the pads on my car, installed caliper studs and finally mounted up a set of 18" BBS. All of this only possible because of RL as well.

I prefer mild solvents and patience, so I used Armour All Glass Wipes and Q-tips believe it or not.

Simple Green works just fine. I don't currently have that in my cabinet, but have used it in the past, no worries.

I'd like to hear more about mounting the tires...would love to do that myself. What does it take?

I've been taking wheels and tires to a local shop for the past 6-8 months. I'm super paranoid and stand over them while they do the work. Some of the techs showed me how to use the machine and lately they have let me do the wheels myself, I still have to pay them for their materials etc. Requires a bit of muscle for the gigantic 335 rears, but it's not as hard as it looks.

Does require a tire machine, no idea how much those cost, for now I'm happy to use theirs
