Its on. After careful consideration I today wired the deposit and signed build contract for a Singer 911. Project starts in March 2014. SVD has been crushing it and taken a bunch of orders in over the past 2 months which is wonderful news for his business although less good for my impatience.
Stay tuned.

Can't wait to hear the specs... i.e.. colors and materials picked..
Did they give you an ETA for completion?

I've been lurking and just driving the usual CGT, 991 C4S, and the 458 spider. I am going to unload the 458 soon, its too good and a bit more high profile than I like.
I am currently on a quest to find a more timeless third vehicle to replace the 458. Some options include Ford GT (Heritage), F40 (too much coin), or some kind of new old school Pcar (Singer if I had the loot or something like the Magnus 911STR spoken about here).
To that end I could use additional guidance on the pcar front. I would like something that has the old school look of the widebody / RSR cars but with the usability and reliability of the more modern cars. In addition I am tall (6'4) and lanky with long legs so I need something that I can fit in and the older 911 dont really work in that regard for me.
I understand Singer to be the best of the best in this area but the price is fearsome. Are there other builders or sources that you might recommend I look at to narrow options?

oh wow this instantly becomes the best thread on the internet
i wonder if singer would accept working on a Gseries carrera rather than a 964, i think a backdated 3.2 looks cleaner
for example, visited the Paul stephens booth at goodwood last month, it was too hot so forgive the bad photos, the black car in the center is a backdated 964 thats being sold used for $160,000, the grey car to its left is a backdated 3.2 and to me it looked so much better and purer,

If a p-car is your goal and the 993RS is not old enough but yet you want modern driveabilty then consider a 964 that has been backdated.
To build one it will cost you.
Best to bid on this Magnus car or have him build one for you. (or somebody else who also builds old 911s)
Chrome window trim and Fuchs with long nose really does it for me nowadays.
OR, you could buy a 997.1RS in orange or green
They are practically classics now!![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Wow that's going to be an incredible build!! What the final weight you're shooting for? Are you having intersport do the build? I ask because I'm local and would love to see the final product.
