You already have a CGT.

You can't go wrong with the FGT.

A nice 2007 GT3 RS is a great and fun street car, no need for AWD with a 911, a GT3RS with snow tires will handle CT snow as good as a 991 C4S, while being vastly more fun.

512bbi + 360Spider manual + 07GT3RS + money left for a fun track car like a 964 PCA Club Racer for occasional DE, and drinks and jokes and fun times with friends.
This would be reasonable advice, with some feedback:

1) The spider is on its way out as I said, real soon now

2) I love my C4S! I need 4 seats for my 2 kids 7yrs and 3yrs, they are really keen on that. Too many 2 seaters already for me. I had a 997.2 RS and I enjoyed it very much, but I like my C4S better as a DD with the nice burmester sound, the 4 seats, the glass roof, and the AWD which may be superfluous but was lots of fun in February during the blizzard.

3) The 360 or 512 are interesting ideas although I think I need to let the f-car fetish lay low for a little while. Also I have an F12 allocation coming in the fall I think and that will be decision time as to whether to pop that cork or not. Might be hard to resist ..

4) I need to replace the 458 spider with a timeless machine, which as we discussed I am zeroing in on as some form of bespoke 911-based piece. Need epic builder names on the east coast to investigate ..

If it looks even better in person than in photos, there really isn't anything else left to say. That is rolling artwork of the highest caliber.

If SQ Picks up that Singer off of this Thread then this will be more Epic than his post a couple years ago when he bought a 3.8 in a Day...

That car is unbelievable...

Here is more on building one off a donor you provide..

Mooty, I've read a ton of your posts, so I know a little bit about your interests... may I humbly suggest the following thread: "Mooty buys a daily driver, the first 90 days with a 964". These cars aren't expensive (to you guys) and it would be fun for you to get back to that "everyday magic" feeling these cars so easily provide. Commute with it, do Home Depot runs, take the kids on errands. Drive it every where and everyday... then sell the car at the end of the 90 day experiment...
Home Depot runs? What would you accomplish - window shopping?

I love 911s but they have a large disconnect with utility.

Haven't you seen the Cayman commercial where the guy tosses two cu ft of mulch in the frunk?

The 911 is the original sport utility vehicle.

I am currently on a quest to find a more timeless third vehicle to replace the 458. Some options include Ford GT (Heritage), F40 (too much coin), or some kind of new old school Pcar (Singer if I had the loot or something like the Magnus 911STR spoken about here).

To that end I could use additional guidance on the pcar front. I would like something that has the old school look of the widebody / RSR cars but with the usability and reliability of the more modern cars. In addition I am tall (6'4) and lanky with long legs so I need something that I can fit in and the older 911 dont really work in that regard for me.

I understand Singer to be the best of the best in this area but the price is fearsome. Are there other builders or sources that you might recommend I look at to narrow options?
If a p-car is your goal and the 993RS is not old enough but yet you want modern driveabilty then consider a 964 that has been backdated.
To build one it will cost you.
Best to bid on this Magnus car or have him build one for you. (or somebody else who also builds old 911s)

Chrome window trim and Fuchs with long nose really does it for me nowadays.

OR, you could buy a 997.1RS in orange or green
They are practically classics now!

Thanks for the kind words on the car, guys. I like it too -- even if it doesn't have the pinache of a Magnus Walker car or the sky's-the-limit package of the Singer.

Looking at that picture, I'm glad I scrapped the RS 38 tail.

And Mooty, an RS 4.0 would be pretty close to my top-two list as well. Also: I've shared a track with you, and you're no slouch at the wheel either.

(And my apologies for walking all over the thread on Magnus' cool car.)
