Default White 3.9L GT3: anyone know this guy?

3.9L GT3 in the bay area. Anyone know him? Anyone want to teach him some track etiquette?

"If I let the carpool in the boxster by, they will just slow me down on the straights"itis

Not a common affliction of the norm RS driver
Find this "disease" far more common in gtr/vette/Italian/modded cayman drivers

Did you speak to him afterward? I probably would've walked over, kindly exchanged greetings, asked about the car and how he likes it...then nicely and with a smile laid something like this on him: "Please let me by next time I'm up on you. I know I don't have the power to leave you on the straights, but I'm carrying way more speed than you in the corners and would appreciate a point-by sooner like you did with the GT-R. It's safer and more fun for both of us."

I would have, but the event managers asked us to talk to them first. Probably because they don't want something escalating into a scene. So, what happened after the session was a whole slew of us that got screwed by this guy talked to the event manager about the issue and they had a talk with him. I'm not sure what happened after the talk because I moved to a different run group afterwards. I have seen guys in the past totally try to deny they did anything wrong and refuse to get demoted. I don't know what happened this time. You can see this seems to be a recurring theme for me. Something about boxsters brings the worst out in people... I've decided to take the advice of my friends and stop messing around with point-by groups and move to open passing.

LOL. You know, I actually thought I was riding him pretty close. The video makes it look like I'm not, though. As frustrating as it was, it's not worth getting involved in an incident. I'm not skilled enough away. LOL.

I would have also had a talk with the organizer. The corner workers did not do their job. Up here he would have been black flagged. I have basically done a drive through just to put myself on the opposite side of the track. I have also put my nose within 1 car length and ride their ***. ( that only made me more angry and non productive as they spend even more time looking in the mirror and go slower.

I did that too. He is aware. Unfortunately the flag workers are employed by the track and not the event organizer. The organizer tries to keep the flag workers on their toes, but it doesn't always happen.

Nobody knows this 3.9L guy? I guess that's a good thing...

That's brutal, Whne i had my C2S I use to have guys in GT3's and TT's not give me the point. One guy would rather pull into the pits rather then give me the point.

Were the corner workers waving blue flags? I couldn't tell from the video.

Unfortunately.... no. That's still no excuse, though. He saw me. The proof is in the fact he let the GTR pass right away. He was looking in the rearview mirror, he just didn't like what he saw. If he didn't see me, then he has no business being in the advanced run group and should be re-coached in the novice group (might need it regardless if he's running 2:15 in a 3.9L GT3 at thunderhill...).

the organizer is at fault
a parked rs would be faster than that lap time. he should be in beginners group
he,s at least 15 seconds off pace from an average 3.8 rs lap time!

I've had three cars go off track with this method. Lol.

I have witnessed this several times as well. Some people have very fragile egos.
