Default Rumors are true 2014 GT3 RS.....

will only feature one transmission, PDK.

I am so glad I did not wait for the 14 and pulled the trigger on a 2011 recently.....This is too bad.

997 are the last of the true manual transmission GT cars. Hold on to it if you own one.

One will need to buy a 991 Carrera, Boxster or Caymen to get the manual theme in a new Porsche.

The 991 GT3 and 991RS will be faster on the track and better daily drivers in the city but will die hard GT3 fans want them and will they become too expensive for a weekend track time car for most people?

time will tell.

Perhaps the 2014 Cup will be the better route for the weekend warrior....

In the article, the second to the last sentence ... $200K
So after options like a steering wheel, tires and headlights (a joke )
price will be like a 4.0L and probably more.
Until otherwise educated ... I'll take a 4.0
If you have a 4.0 keep it.

Trade ? I'll buy you a 991 GT3 RS to your spec, and you give me the 4.0 Trade ready ? Don't add anymore miles to that 4.0
Can we bypass the car tax ? we can say we are doing an even swap.

200k, I'm out. Can't see myself tracking a 200k car like that. I know our current RS's aren't cheap but something mentally messes with me with prices that high

No surprise. New engine that's already set up for PDK. Why would they stick a manny in it if PDK is faster. It's wait and see for me. Yeah I get it old engine metzger(spelling wrong) yada yada. Let's see what happens before you throw it under the bus. Anyway today's version of racing 6 cyl can't compete against 8 cyl. Don't care if u unrestrict air restrictors u can't beat trq. PAG will kill themselves relying on the 6 cyl. Competition ended with 996 era. 7 hasn't been competitive since its advent. Move on. Mike

The GT3 is overpriced to begin with! Porsche is laughing all the way to the bank.

I doubt the $200k number. GT3 base is $131k and RS is usually $17-20k more. There aren't many options you will need or want.

^ check it out - manual trans and marginally improved since 1977
And I am not kidding - a $200k pdk only RS (if true), I will be buried in my 997RS

My guess is that Base price 150ish....and 200 out the door, no doubt it will set new standards on the track but at that price it will attract more F than P drivers
