Lots of great advice here, as everyone pointed out, patience is key. I bought mine a year and a half ago at a great price, less than what people are selling them for now. I happened to find a one owner, that was being sold to fund a business he was about to start. PPI came back good and bought it immediately. Been loving it since. If I could afford the jump to one of these great .2 RS's for sale on the forum Id sell mine immediately, but not quiet ready yet.

If your GT3 was white, I'd pick it up over kbb. Black is my second choice, so my willingness to spend is a lot less; a cost of a paint job less. But I'm still considering your GT3. Giving myself till May to find a white one.

Here's a question since I haven't bought used before....California taxes. I buy from private party and they're willing to write a low selling price...what's a reasonable reduction I could do that DMV is not going to raise an eye at?

Geez, Cali goes on the honor system??? Here in NC, they look up the value in a table. There is no challenging it. The only exception is buying through a dealer.

I think either honor or by the bill of sale I believe. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Kali took uses the honor system... then compared it to a table.
I assumed they have a reality test range.

So where do they see the sale value? Is that in the bill of sale or whatever form I fill out for registration?

If you ever get audited; I'd say they would wonder why the funds of $xx amount disappeared from your account the same time you bought the vehicle. So, if I find a private party, Im going hover at Low KBB Trade in

Bill of sale....or in my case, the old owner filled out the tear off on the Pink Slip and wrote in the selling price.

DMV is just a middle man who collects taxes for "BOE" same as a car dealer's who collects sales taxes from customers and once or twice a year, dealer's pay "BOE". If BOE smells fraud - you're in deep Sh..t !
