Default Still want my '10 GT3

Yep.....

I still want my '10 GT3 even with the release of the new 991 GT3....

even with only 435 HP compared to the GT3 991's 475
even without a gussied up PDK
even without rear wheels that actually turn
even without new fancy steering
even with those darn CL's (can still change them)
even though it is smaller
even without a fancy interior
even if it is a lot more analog
even if it is not as good a daily driver
even with the mezger engine
even if it is slower

yep... still works for me

Last of the 6 speed gt3. Keep it for weekend drives.

Yup, my sentiments exactly. Still have my 997.1 GT3. Drive my 997.2 carrera pdk daily but feels mundane and can't wait for weekends to drive the GT3's stick and hear the gear changes. Long live the Mezger engines and 6 speed manual!

I love mine. Looks better outside and inside. Proven heritage. Simpler. All is good. I am considering putting a new exhaust on just to satisfy the mod bug I have.

I love my Blackie (2010 GT3 with 20k miles - 17k on the track!!!). Not a chance I am getting rid of that car... it is heading toward being a race car. Now has full cage... may add the cut-offf switches and go PCA racing this year. Maybe.

i you want, you should. just wait until those 7.2 gt3 cars will get to $80-$85k range.
for me it helps to drive my car more often. it got so little left in it from its base donor car i quickly forget how great those gt3 cars are on forums.

what is a good thing - any 997 series car can be built into pretty much anything one wants. motor of course is a weak link but with time even that can be resolved. a lot of people race 996 M96 cars and 997 based M96/M97 cars, there is absolutely nothing wrong with a properly built car from a 997 street donor.

latest and greatest will always be better no doubt so it is all a matter of supplies and support costs in the end. amount of fun is hardly a factor. unless u bite a bullet and get into real cup car.

I with you. My '10= "keeper".
Sort of a new version of having an old air cooled in the garage.
