Coming in 2016 - PTFE coated wheel nuts
PTFE coated racing wheel nuts for Porsche ( M14x1.5 / r14 ) ... COMING SOON
** NEW ** PTFE coated Porsche wheel nuts
Our PTFE coated wheel nuts provide a quick release from the socket. No more jammed nuts.
More importantly, you will obtain consistent torque values and provide lubrication to the stud's threads and nut seats.
Your crew will love the easy to locate Hi-Visibility Yellow.
Features:
Fits all Porsche wheels and studs on 911/914/944/964/993/986/996/987 and 997.
Note: Gun settings may have to be adjusted down. The target torque setting does not change (eg: 90-100 lb/ft), however due to the lubricity of the coating, gun settings may need to be adjusted down to prevent the higher socket speed/inertia form "over-torquing" and damaging your studs.

Thanks also to all the experienced RL and Apex for comments. At this time I am looking for more race look for GT3 and more outlaw look for my Weissach. But recently changing a tire on my GT3 even using the provided Porche long stud to hang the wheel, I can see where longer studs for tire changing, cleaning inside of wheels would be worth the low cost of studs and the open nuts for a little weight savings and just good looks.
Appreciate any comments on the use of the "copper nuts" listed by apex was thinking of using them on Weissach with the gold stock Fuchs. Assuming soft material vs steel.
Thanks.

They were copper coated steel, however they are no longer available. The regulations around copper coatings has made them cost prohibitive. Shame really as the copper was great for lubrication and they did look cool on old cars once they took on a patina.

i purchased my studs from CDOC however they did require slight machining before installation...
both my RS porsche have had them installed and they are fantastic. I keep four spares (one for each side) and have yet to need them..
All the above sound good.
Just avoid titanium.

Strength is more or less identical to steel.

Sidebar, is Apex still open? I've used them in the past but haven't been able to get a hold of them to do a new order.
A shame about all the Rennline Stud horror stories...
