- there are plenty of days run for the 911 crowd at Mosport and no helmets are required
- it isn't 10/10th lapping - more like 8/10ths
- i know i've done a few laps with gloves and no helmet showing newbies the line and i believe i had shorts on as well

didn't mean for this to become a debate between helmet vs no-helmet.
i'm as guilty as azmurciev12-- i don't wear my helmet when just lapping for fun and not trying to set a time.
that doesn't make it right, and i think in an accident, its always better to be wearing a helmet vs not wearing one.
but that wasnt' the point of the video![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
azmurciev12 wasn't out to set a lap record, as it was his first time with the car on the track... but he came damn close to the stock production car record anyway!

Yikes, no helmet, hans, 6pt is scary enough, but probably wouldn't have insurance coverage without running in a DE environment without safety crew....would be an expensive day all the way around if you went off track! The most important thing I hear since running on the track.....safety!

Ok back to the thread, great car and sure hands. hope he enjoys and as it says he has never driven a Porsche before a big welcome. Now to preaching as they told me when buying a helmet base the purchase on what your head is worth to you. Sound advice IMHO

Helmet aside, smooth driving, no drama. No other cars on the track. Looks like he has done this before. Nice video. Thanks for sharing.

I was laughing at the asian Mercs, E350's with 2 quad exhausts and the full AMG kit. I think they come that way there...
Thanks, living the dream LOL.
Cleaned her all up, new bra, some decal pieces, new rockers and an interior detail to follow next week :-)
Problem is it rained today, so I could not make it to the office today and I might find a cars n coffee this weekend and they are forecasting rain tomorrow. What to do? I guess I will have to take off tomorrow again..

though its all relative... have you ever been in Lagos or Bangladesh traffic?
sorry, when OT on my own thread. i'm not sure if it shows up on the audio of the clip-- i think it does a bit-- but the 4.0 has this really rabid, feral scream at the top end that i haven't heard in other GT3's. its almost the slightest hint of roughness that lends that bit of extra edge and drama.
would take the sound over a 458's any day!
what an engine!!!
