FVDAwesome, hopefully I can see you Wednesday morning. I have to breakaway from the practice but I will be there.
I need to be there cuz I want to discuss some radical ideas with Champion Motorsport

MJSpeed,

Will they shop who did it for you make this available for others? Or is this purely a one time custom thing for you?

For the 997.1GT3RS, have anyone think of making good use of the driver side scoop by drilling a decent size hole at the separator (a rib at the center) from the fan side? Then two chambers will be connected. Just a through, I will take a detail look tonight again.
Also, someone can create a spacer block to raise up the OEM scoop. A lot of DIY possibility.

A couple guys have done taller scoops out of CF for the .1.

I've got an RSR decklid coming so you're welcome to come down and we can do some measurements. The 3.8/Cup airbox is cheap by Porsche standards and has the two inlets...

Champion made taller deck lid air ducts for my .1RS and additionally a second opening was created on the underside of the deck lid on the left side.
A custom CF airbox was made to compliment the deck lid.
It all works great. Pics were posted but there was no interest.

I am interested in larger scoop upgrade but not the price. For about 1k, I can have the ECU tune, I think is more effective in terms of power gain : )
Also, with about 3k, I can get a new deck with bigger scoop and upgrade to cup wing.
At the track, I never have trouble keeping up with the .2GT3 even they are 3.8. I had driven the 3.8 and is easier to drive with its power band.
I have lot of trouble keeping up with the .2RS, on the straight & uphill. They pull away from me quickly, and it is a no match. So my conclusion is the final gear makes a huge different in speed.
I will save the $ and get the 4.0 final gear if I really want to follow the .2RS pace : )

Considering both cars are stock,

You have a deficit of about 30-35WHP and 25lbs ft of torque at peak. That's a decent delta specially when .2 RS has short gearing that CAN be helpful at some points. If your car is stock there is a lot to be gained power wise. You can get pretty close to a stock RS in power, but the 3.8 will have a better torque band no matter what. Same thing happens between 3.8 RS and 4.0 but the delta between the last 2 is even greater. Average 415WHP to 455whp and lots of low end torque.
Let me know if you need any direction on making your .1 faster
