It'd be fairly easy to create a controlled test for this using the AIM solo units that many of you in this thread have. Hardest part is finding a "closed source" (cough cough) for the test where you could do repeated 100-150 pulls.

FWIW Gavin personally did back-to-back runs at Sebring in his 997.1 RS with and without the scoop using whatever data system he has in his car (I can't remember what he uses).
And yes, this scoop is sculpted on the interior for "smooth" airflow all the way to the intake.
Reason I posted this was to tell other RL'ers about the cheapest hp & speed gain per $ I have ever heard of for our cars.

Gavin's motor isn't exactly "stock" 
I don't think it's a good baseline.
Gavin is a good guy, but it would be nice to see testing done by someone that doesn't actually sell the product with a stock untouched motor.

I believe the testing was done before he switched out the stock motor for the 3.9 Sharkwerks motor he got from Rob.

Vbox is installed in RS. No data system in GT3. And the scoop is installed already. What do you want me to do buy another Vbox and another rear decklid/wing and do comparison tests for you DD?

- for what it is worth, i absolutely believe in the ram air effect
- porsche has already told you about it in their own documentation with the car
- you can also see exactly where the cup cars have made changes and where the mk2 RS made an even bigger change
- on my home track at Mospost it is actually something you can feel kick in on the highspeed back straight
- at Mosport, it happens as the car goes above 130mph or around 230kph - you can feel the surge of additional hp
- when i first felt it i always wondered what it was but i soon understood it to be the ram air effect
- there is clearly no way to test this on a dyno
- the other thing that is obvious with the OE mk1 deckled is that it isn't designed to be 100% about hp - it has other OE designs issues as well
- i don't know if it is 20HP, but a really good design like what has been shown will work for sure at HIGH SPEEDS
- lets be clear - this isn't a 20hp increase at sub 100mph - but at high speeds, I can definitely see an additional 10HP as possible - and that would give an mk2 gt3 enough to hang with an mk2 RS
- for an mk1, it would also give you the ability to hang with a mk2 gt3 - but at high speeds is the key

Can the stock ECU adjust for ...how much more air intake to adjust the fuel ratio?

^^ good question - likely needs some cutting. wOuld like to see pic of underside of decklid.
Just for reference, I tried this type of update on my 6cup and the top scoop cost $350
From Revozport (like Serge's pic) and I had to manufacture the underside part - another $250 ..
And mine doesn't have the same 'smoothness/flow' (damn!) of this one.
