Good job Randy, biggest challenge (imo) in non-abs cars is brake application. Learning to modulate brake pressure has a direct correlation to your wallet (flat spots).

You are welcome to join us (old cars/men) under the oak tree at sebring any time.

There are several C5 corvettes that are running gold and near platinum cups (acoording to your list) on hoosier A6. these are tta vettes too so very minimal mods. On slicks they will run Platinum cup times in the new tt3 class. No aero.

Yet the mighty Fiat can't do it?

Super late to the thread. Saw a hint on FB, but didn't know you pulled the trigger!

Congrats! Everything is conjecture until you start putting times down. Hope you enjoy the learning curve!

915s like that. You'll get nay-sayers, and it must be done properly, but...

915 gearbox is easy peasy as long as you treat it like a loved one.

Are you implying that his new car is a steaming pile of antique dookie and that he'll need to wash his hands after driving it?

U don't have one...it goes in place of those hoses that mysteriously detach themselves.

By the way ur water pumper is an 07 with a pile of track miles...ever considered new hoses? Ur hoses are the same vintage as the ra1 I tun

I do need to work on slowing my shifting down for the old girl

Not like the pos gearbox / clutch / pressure plate in a gt3 is much less maintenance.....

The gearbox in the car I bought is far from a stock box...not that I understand all the work done to it but Ron said it was what we needed

I'm sure ill see you around

I'm not a fan of the gulf... Might just put some numbers on it and leave it alone for a while

There is no clear bra and I'm thankful ill never mess with that stuff again. Just a simple repaint when patina gets too bad

A well done 915 is a thing of beauty, very very crisp and positive, and you will find you are actually faster in the car by NOT rushhing the shifting
