Hey! Don't disrespect the little Dino.
One of them finished in 17th overall at Le Mans in 1972.

Wow. Congrats, Respect, and Envy, lol !!!

Now you will know how well you have trained your feet and hands and their timing :-). Lift, unweight the front; power down, unwieght the front; brake, unweight the rear; coast, unweight all; turn, balance front to rear, brake to throttle, time it and be quick, etc..... Yeah, it applies to all cars to some degree but in this instance it will be total and direct communication, not the whisperings and suggestions that pass for 'communication' in the modern cars.

You will have a great time and learn a lot! Did i mention envious? Be sure to keep posting as you learn the ride!

Those Hoosiers are R35 compound, the same compound used on their slicks, and that time is good for the Coffee Cup. It should be a little faster, Coffee Cup on RA1 and Gold DE Cup on slicks.

My wife will appreciate that, Jimmy.
We do love the classics. God, those were the days!

Congratulations, Izzone! Beautiful car. I'll be watching (and hoping) to see if this 'does it' for you. I'm really starting to sense that GT3s are just 'entry drugs' for track junkies.

Edit to add: I see now that a simple 964 Cup car has run a 2:19.
964Cup is not an antique, it has a coilover suspension, and with a 3.6 and fresh slicks, it is a capable car, record shows a 2:23 at Sebring by my fellow NNJR-PCA fast shoe Charlie (and nice guy too), and it is consistent with the fastest GTC1 lap records at other tracks (R. America, the Glen, Road Atlanta, AutoClub).

A GTC1 legal car running 2:19s at Sebring, bullcrap.

A modified 964 Cup running 2:19s at Sebring, easy, the sky is the limit with modifications, Aero+motor+lightening, easy target.

I'll pay for dyno and scales, bring a GT3S legal car on a pre-964 chassis to Sebring (SWB or LWB up to 1988) and show me a 2:16, or easier a 2:17 on R6/R1 (not R1S)/V710/C51.

Izzone's antique is a Coffee Cup on RA1 and Gold Cup on slicks.

BTW, my training wheels ages ago were old Fiats, old BMWs and a 1983 3.0 SC.

Put Ron Zitza on r6 in this car and it will take out reters 4.0....that's based on facts
Put Ron on R6 in that antique and I will run him over with my slow Fiat at Sebring.

Put yourself in that antique, and I will run you over with my Cayman.

1:34 at Road Atlanta is Coffee Cup now? hahahahaha

If that's coffee cup, that would make Gold Cup what 1:30-1:33 and Platinum Cup 1:27-1:29? Would love to see the Fiat make platinum cup on slicks at Road Atlanta.

If it ever gets fixed. 3.5 months and counting.
