People that buy Porsche are not exactly budget conscious. They'll have no problem selling at these prices.

My 2002 996 cab has a sticker of 100k. So the prices are not really out of line considering what they sold for 10 years ago. With that being said, I bought mine in 2004 and paid $65k for it with 7k miles on it. Retail is for suckers

I'll wait till Mooty buys 3 or 4 of them and pick up one of his at slightly used pricing.

Right, about those cheap engines..
We blew a few Mustang engines, lowly 300HP V8, you say cheap, but by the time the shop put it in, tunes it bla bla bla its 12K.

I guess if no warranty each time you blow a Corvette engine it will cost you 15-20K by the time you get the car back.

If they honor 100K drive train warranty, now we're talking! Thats like owning a CPO Porsche!

You may get 1 engine out of them. Probably stops there. Better have your checkbook handy.

You can already see the depreciation in used 991 prices. If you spend a little time hunting around it is not hard to find '12 991 S cabs for $25-30k off sticker with 3-5k miles on them. Park Place has one with a few hundred miles on it and they are ASKING $20k off MSRP. I understand PCNA had $5-8k in dealer incentives on them thru end of '12.

A buddy of mine just bought a new 2012 991S with a 7 spd. manual. MSRP was $118K. He got it for $95K.

Have had several new corvettes in the past. One major reason I will not buy another is the hassle they put you through to get warranty work authorized. Then, they give a grease monkey some OJT on your car so he can get experience fixing drivetrains. In a nutshell, the stealerships are notorious for screwing both the customer and GM.

I just saw used non cpo 991, CS w pdk with 3k miles or so for 98k... Don't know what msrp was originally... Not heavily optioned but I think we will see more flooding the market. Paying retail msrp is for suckers.

Now I rather keep my gt3 for that price... Unless my back can't handle the car anymore
