PCCB pad alternative?
Has anyone here heard of or tried the endless w007 pad for their PCCBs?
I put an inquiry into endless w007 pads on my pccb spyder for hpde and this was the response:
We all know why running PCCBs at the track can be prohibitively expensive. Perhaps running these pads might make the rotors last long enough to even out the price cost of steel vs pccb, while having the benefits of pccb?
I've only run 5 track days with my Spyder, but I've gone through one set of P40s and the front rotors are just starting to just show the wear indicator circle. If my PCCBS go, I'm switching to steel, but maybe these endless w007 pads might buy my rotors more time? They are pricey at $1000 a set, though...

W007/8 has been designed specifically with the PCCB rotors in mind. And so I think you’ll find that you’ll definitely see a prolonged pad and rotor life compared to the P40’s. We couldn’t give you an exact estimate on the actual wear because it will vary, but to give you a general idea… W007 was derived from our MA45B compound which is our primary endurance compound, so it’s very gentle on the rotors offering the best life possible for the pads and the rotors alike.
A Porsche team in Europe actually ran tests comparing the P40 to the MA45B and they found that the wear rates on the rotors and the pads was significantly better. I’d say roughly about 3 to 4 times better. So we feel that W007 would be the best way to go as far as the wear and performance is concerned. With the W008, our concern would be that they may be slightly more aggressive and so you would go back to seeing similar wear rates to what you’re currently seeing with the P40’s which may end up requiring new rotors down the line.

I asked the same question regarding PCCBs on my GT3 RS. The answer I got back from all those asked was an emphatic NO. I quickly switched to steel rotors and put the PCCB rotors on the shelf. Pad life on the PCCB setup was nonexistent. Way too expensive to track regularly.

PFC rotors and pads FTW.
Love their new boltless hat Rotor mating system, takes 3 seconds. Awesomenes, cant wait to try them out, I have them on order with Eddie RPW: http://www.performancefriction.com/f...ing-Technology

PFC V3 no hardware hat
I spoke with PFC about these new hats yesterday and was told
The earliest production would be may or June.
I was told by the PDF director of motorsports that the hats to fit
The slotted gt3rs rotors was not a priority at this point.

If nobody has tried them, perhaps I might be willing to be the guinea pig...

Endless has three levels of brake pads compatible with PCCB that I know of.
LF1 = track ... friction value (mu) 0.30 - 0.35 Heat range 250 to 850 degrees centigrade
LF2 = track & street ... friction value 0.55 Heat range 300 to 800 degrees centigrade
LF3 = street ... friction value 0.55 Heat range 300 to 700 degrees centigrade
I've used recently the LF1 and LF2. No complaints.

There were a few users of RS29s in Europe / Ring Driving on the ceramics
- can't remember the posters name but a search will reveal it
- I actually ordered RS29s to give them a try after my current set of P50s
