Default Probably a dumb question...GT3 and baby seat?

I'm trying to compromise. I'm missing the GT world, but need something my wife can enjoy as well. Time to stop being so selfish. Has anyone hear installed of heard of anyone installing a baby seat in the back of a GT3?

It's legal to use them upfront in 2-seater cars. However, if you have the sport seats (fixed buckets), Porsche says those seats cannot be used with a baby seat.

Yeah, but the wife won't have it. Have to be in the rear if in a P car at all. Can't say as I blame her.

It's a massive project, but has been done. Search for "Rear seats installed (pics)" by member NSXTC here. Done on a 997.1 GT-3.

Holy cow. Nice job but a ton of work and expense. I drove a new S today..that may be the best route for now.

For you kids age it is fine. Recaro makes a seat that uses the seatbelt. Looks like a Hans Halo seat. Of course it goes in the front passenger seat and because of the weight etc the Airbag automatically disengages. So only one kiddo at a time.

Otherwise I wouldn't put them in the back as if there was ever an accident you could be in big trouble because the GT cars are listed as 2 seaters.

I'll shoot you a picture when I'm home this weekend.

Yeah I was thinking a Recaro. But K won't allow them in the front. No chance to convince her otherwise.

If you decide you want to go this route, I have all the parts for you. I'm converting an '08 997 into a race car and have the full interior including all the rear seat components/brackets you would need stripped out.
