I know you have no love for da Datsun. as for reliability it seems I was reading that you have a lot of shop time this year.

Call the OP when the Nissan finishes 3 consecutive weekends at 8/10's+ without a failure. And then tell him what it cost to get it there

Ok guys, Here are some FACTS: May 2012, Leh Keen, Roebling Road, fully set-up Top Speed GTR, 750RWHP, on Super Sports, 1:13.4. Same morning, in my 4.0, 450RWHP on worn/undersized R6s, 114.4! With minimal additional tuning and set-up it would be very close. Allan

The two key words here are "GTR" & "Straight" that's all the GTR is good for, going fast straight.

i think it really depends on the driving/track experience of the OP. the GT2 while it can be made fast and last on a track, maybe a handful for a beginner. i do think that if you have a $150K GTR, you can do so much to cool it for it to last on trackdays running conservatively around 700-800hp and much easier for a beginner to drive. it can be fast on the track and on the street especially for the not so experienced enthusiast. however, it's not that involving to drive but it sure is fast. with the GT2, without any aids, you better be careful with your right foot and have quick hands.

and it also matters on the type of tracks you will use it for, on short tracks with many turns, especially if tight ones, the power wouldn't make such a difference. goodluck on your search.

I said Similar Acceleration.............. which would reqiure more hp than a gt3 has to offer. That GTR has a ton of hp. You arent going to match that with an na gt3.

My car is ten years old. And still more reliable. The first year my car has had significant shop time at all. And its maintenance and upkeep other than a broken third gear. Those gtrs have either built or broken a gearbox in only a couple of years, Catesbys car crapped out at one lap. And both have exponentially more shop time and money in them than my car. Multiple turbo swaps and both live at tuners shops permanently or semi permanently.

So come again?

I've thought of that.... Just don't like the looks of the car but sometimes I see them they look ok..like Eddies..maybe it's the wheels?

I just hear they over heat after a few laps...I really don't know much about them.
