gt2 vs c6 zr1 vs 2013 viper gts

Fixed. They bottom out at about 3400-3500 for a race car. The weight becomes a factor eventually, and there is only so much hp the GT-R can use.
You guys just need more ponies (and maybe some AWD) Laughable to even compare a stock powered RS to a GT-R with 900 hp. Shouldn't even really be mentioned.

For the OP, a GT-R would work in your situation. A GT2 would be a harder car to drive but it would also work. It all depends on what your wants and needs are. Honestly, for a track day car, a GT-R is a good car up until you need the trans fluid swap (and they need them constantly). Thats where you get the sticker shock.
I think a GT3RS driven well would be fun, but not as fast as the other cars you mentioned. If you want to be "equal" then the GT-R and GT2 are closer.
Or you can all get a certain car- like Corvette Z07 or whatnot, in different colors. That could be a lot of fun!

the funny thing is the GTR crowd are saying that the Porsche turbo is an under tuned ladies car, and in order to get it up to GTR level it requires suspension tuning and the famed LSD.... All adds up to almost twice the price of a reasonable used GTR....

There is no reason the TTS with 520 hp, AWD and PDK should be slower than a 3.8 or 4.0 RS. Obviously intentional.
You could put 480 hp on a 996 TT with a decent set of shocks and sway bars and run with the facelift GT3's.

I'm pretty sure the 997 TT has LSD as an option, though it may be a crappy one. However the 997.1 TT was a hot mess handling wise and Porsche surely has in mind to keep a market for the GT2 by keeping the TT behind the GT3.

I haven't seen it faster on any tracks except I think Porsche claim a 7:32 for the TTS and a 7:33 for the 3.8RS, but 7:27 for the 4.0.
On most tracks it's close with the 3.8, but the 4.0 is a few seconds ahead.

They aren't totally inaccurate, but at the same time they are ignoring the shortcomings of the GT-R.

That's the past projects from that 'Rivard Competition' tuning shop.
Onto the GTR debate... a guy at our local track (Cayuga) ran an 800whp GTR and shattered the lap record. The same guy also has a f430 Scud and owned a GT3. He said the GTR (highly modified) was only good for quick bursts of time attack and was a real pain to drive. He loved the Scud/GT3 much more.
I think moral of the story is be happy with a great handling/feeling car. There's always faster out there. Nothing but a pissing contest when ultimately $$$ wins

my goodness! did anybody else notice on the Rivard website that the car had Cup doors on it once upon a time?!
this car must have been very, very quick given the mods....
If i could score this car with both sets of seats, wheels, and doors for 134k then i would be tempted to move out of my GT3....

the only thing that concerns me about this car is they had the engine apart! when i asked them why, they said they were gonna do a 4.0l engine build but changed there mind. so they checked everything out and put it back together. what do you guys think?

as the ol' saying goes, never buy a car from quebec.....
on a serious note however, find a clean GT2 for under 150k if you are looking to run with the vipers and the vettes... You will be happy.
