Default 245 fronts

I know that the standard tyre size for a 997gt3 is 235/35 19 on the front but was wandering is it possible to run 245/35 19 which could help with front end turn in, or is this not safe? I track my car a lot thanks in advance for any reply's

I run a 255 hoosier (rotated struts, >3 degrees camber) with no issue
My hoosiers are 18s though...

my GT3 (not RS) uses HooHoo R6 18" 255/35/18 fronts - no issues. FWIW - 335/30/18 rears.

for street tires yes you can use 245/35/19 for fronts...no issue at all.

Do you get noticeably more grip from running 245s though or any negatives?

I stuck with the original size, 305/30/19.

My car is a daily driver, so it's not dialed up to "11"...perhaps a smidge less understeer, though I wouldn't bet on it.

Dialing in a little more negative camber is likely to increase the front end cornering grip more than the 235 to 245 tire size increase.
