First I need to say that I hate sweating. Hate hate hate it. I live in the south east so that makes things kind of tough. Anyway, what's the current "it" technology with some sort of cooling in an approved race suit for driving events that could also be used for "24 hours of lemons" racing (the $500 cars not $500,000 ones)
I think their (lemons) only requirement is nomex which I would assume any track will require in any car but I'm not sure.
I'm new to this whole turning thing but once I make sure I can be comfortable would like to seek out some track instruction so any advise there is welcome as well.
I live close to Carolina Motorsports Park and anything else that's close to Charlotte and I want to get my feet wet, without sweating my *** off.
TIA

Gran turismo, under a Ice cold room !!!!
Can't go wrong, and the best thing is that it allows you to drive drunk.
jk on the side, this time of the year is impossible to drive and not sweat.

Whomever sponsors the track event will post rules on their web site. DE usually requires an approved Helmet, BSI, SA2005 or newer - some accept SM 2005 and newer. Short sleeved shirts, cotton preferred, long pants (jeans are fine) and lace up shoes. Nomex is never required for a DE. Time trials and races are another story.

Empire, Buy a cool suit system. But before you do that post some pictures of your cars. That's a wicked list of cars. Start with the yellow black GT...
Please?

The Stand21 is a bit of overkill for the DE but you would certainly win your run group if you wore it ![hiha](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/roflmao.gif)
In all seriousness I love my Stand21 Ivos Double Duty carbon helmet. Never ever get a sore neck. The suits are quite nice too. Chunky investment of funds though![Frown](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
PS- I'm in that Stand21 video W8MM posted above
Lol!
Empire- if you have a place to put the cooler, a cool shirt is the only way to stay cool in the summer. Unless your event host lets you run windows up and A/C on.

Funny or not I saw such guys, one in ferrari italia, other in 997.1 RS car. Why not, I guess, for some it is not even a big expense, so what? If they want to show off, who are we to object?
If there were such a suit or technology that allows to plug in into 12v source and cool you down I would gladly buy it. Cool shirt thing is not a solution for a non-track car with second seat installed, really, all you can do in a car with interior is a ventilated seat, may be.

Im not much for pictures and the GT is at my place in FL, the SuperG is at my place in SC and the rs is at my place in NC at the moment. As soon as they are all in one place at the same time i will get some good pics.
So to recap, there is nothing that I didnt already know track outfit wise and to win cars and coffee trophys I need the full stand21 setup?
