Default Clutch micro switch issue?

Got in my GT3 for the first start up after 2 month of sitting turned off. Had the clutch pedal shoved 7/8 was back and tried to turn key and it said depress clutch pedal and I was confused because I've push it back less than that before and it started right up without messages! Micro switch issue? Just me?

The same thing happened to me. Dealer replaced it and noted that he performs a lot of these repairs.

My 2010 GT3 is doing the same thing. It took two or three tries to get it started yesterday. I assume I can get it replaced under warranty before it fails.

Yeah, my dealer said it would be under warranty so I'll take it soon!

Yep, it's a common problem. It's a switch issue. Had to replace it on my 10 GT3 and just today on my 12 GTS. It's frustrating because it's intermittent but it has never failed to start. Tech said that there has been a TSB out on it for a while and that Porsche is working on a new switch. In the meantime they just replace it under warranty.

Yes, very common. Happened with my 7.2 GT3 and my 6.2 GT3. Replace it asap. Nothing serious to worry about.

Replace it, don't wait. One day your car may not start...

Apparently there was a "bad lot" of switches at Porsche.
Mine went bad and was replaced a few months ago.
Get yours replaced....no big deal.
