So what was the total cost for the parts to convert?

And what were the associated labor costs? Is it an ugly job?

The parts cost around $600 (Canadian) plus the headliner. I picked up a used one from a 996 GT3. The part numbers aren't the same, but they do fit. IIRC a new headliner was around $1200. So all new parts would cost $1800.

Labour was around 20 hours plus painting. I am very happy with this conversion, not many 997.1GT3's in NA without this option.

Hope this helps

Interior removal and glass out (front and rear I think)
Drill out spot welds
Remove old roof with sunroof
Prep surface for new roof
Weld
Re install interior and glass
Paint
Etc
