My personal opinion, get an OEM panel, find a used 996 headliner, it is a direct drop in...cut a corner, and you will not be happy, you may end up redoing it down the line with a factory part.

It's a track car. I don't really care. If I can find a used 996 headliner, I will def consider it.

Although mechanically well taken care of, it's cosmetically ruined at this point after a zillion track miles. Anybody buying my car down the road is going to use it to club race. Cars and coffee crowd would not be impressed.

If its a frickin track car then do it right and rip all the interior out ala the Ring Warrior.

Agreed, remove all the interior and you will save a lot more then 45lbs.
