OK, you guys caught me, I bought the 4.0, stripped all the ugly graphics, put mine on and the interior..... 4.0 wing for sale...

Video 2, next one I had to split due to black flag interuption. so there will actually be 4 vids not 3... Randy, can you post yours of this session as well?

You're taking cheating to a whole new level. Your car picked up serious speed with the re-geared transmission, suspension, Hoosiers, headers, and the list goes on and on...

Very likely Gavin took the 1.06 5th gear and placed it in 6th, added just 2 new gears for 4th and 5th, and the results are amazing.

I would like to watch a drag race out of T16 between the 4.0RS and Paul's 3.8RS with Akra+Tune+re-gear, my bet is on Paul's car taking the lead over the 4.0RS

For a 996 GT3, just place 5th into 6th, get new 4th and 5th, and you're done. No need to add the 4.0 R&P gear. I added the 4.0 R&P because I needed a short 2nd gear for autoX. Less than $4k job.

If money is unlimited, then just use the 3.15 mainshaft from the Cup car, and the same gear set as the 2004-2005 GT3 Cup, a $13k job.

Rad, there are a couple of 996gt3's around here that have been re geared by Goldcrest and it's silly how much harder they pull. You would think its a brand new motor in there
