Dog, you were running your stock 19" wheels this last weekend? What tires?

I think he used Super Sports that weekend. I hear nothing but great things from him regarding those tires. Sure he will chime in here about them....

Paul,

Three weeks ago you and I were trading laps in front/behind each other. My best lap was a 2:25.14 in my regular old GT3 with R888's. Your car was not pulling from me in the straights or carrying much higher corner speeds. Then Stephen showed up and slapped the Hoosiers on. That and the seat time has gotten you massive improvements. Great driving. I'll post some video later today for comparison.

Yes, stock wheels and Mich SS's. Couldn't muster anything better than a 228 on those tires, but I had a good time trying. Didn't want to waste precious hoosier heat cycles for a one day pca event. All the sliding, howling, and squirming really keeps you on your toes.

Personally I would like to see the arms race de-escalated and have us all run these as a "spec de cup" tire

Can I run Yokohama AD08's instead since PSS don't come in 18" friendly sizes.

drive on those for PBOC Super Solo this weekend so I can have someone to chase!

I agree...GT3DE Cup could be fun for all if there was a spec tire and not Hoosier R6 either. Maybe the Super Sport since it does cost as much as the other would be it?....sure would be cool if everyone ran the same tire at least....I can't compete in the arms race with cars....if you all played drums though I'd smoke every one of you!

Dawg,

The old, slow, no class would work for me. Hey somebody has to bring up the rear and pick up all the body parts from the off track excursions. In all seriousness though if Randy/Peter/anybody else is going to run the 2013 OLOA they should get a set and practice on them before the event.

That's why you have 2 sets of wheels

Go out, test ... got passed ?

Pull in, pit stop, hoosiers in.... Go out pass the guy. Now you have the bigger ****

I remember, lots of fun. I think just the frequency of being there taught me to be able to feel the car better, and took the pucker factor out of most places on the track, not really sure what exactly happened, but really focused on braking late into corners to rotate car, getting comfortable with car moving around in corners, and eliminating as much coasting time as possible really added up for me. My car, (or me) does not like running the track on Corsas anymore, severe push in corners, makes Randy's car look like it's carving straight as an arrow.
