Just spoke to Reeves, I really like my sales guy, he has been very straight with me and very helpful in the past. He swears it is sold and it will be picked up on Tuesday.

At least he called me back to tell me straight up. We will see next week....

I'm happy with my 3.8 for now, not worth forcing the 4.0.

Curious, though, if he insists it was sold, why was it just listed on Autotrader and eBayMotors in the past day?

Right, especially since they had a committed buyer in backup position (you). That's frustrating.

 

I've bought cars from both dealers. Carlsen is one thing, but don't tar Reeves with the same brush. I've dealt with Reeves since '07 and had zero trouble -- I bought an '07 GT3 there, built to order and sold at msrp when other dealers were gouging $10K over MSRP -- they even shipped the car to me before I paid for it to make sure I got the car without delay.

This eBay listing is questionable, but I don't see it as fraudulent or double-dealing -- in this case, innocent until proven.

 

When I was looking for a car a few months back, Reeves had a Grey/Gold 2010 RS for sale. I went there to see the car, but it was also sold. Next week the car was listed on eBay as well. Not sure if it is a disconnect between their sales and marketing, but it has happen before. Otherwise Reeves is really good.

Reeves has a like new 4.0 and a GT2 RS on the floor....seems a few deals on the 4.0 did not happen. Both cars have under 800 miles. If you want to talk to a guy there that is straight up call Tom Heinz....he is a DE guy with a lot of us.
