You are welcome.
The F40 is not a VW, this is a VW forum

F40, Carrera GT, Scuderia, 4.0RS, a factory track car (996 GT3 Cup), a 360 Spider with manual transmission. That would complete my list.

Sell the 458, get the 4.0. Next week sell the 4.0, get the Lambo. Rinse and repeat as often as necessary.

As somebody already said get the 4.0 then add 458 Scud. Or keep the 458 and add a used GT3 without spending the premium for a 4.0.

For me ANY GT3 + 458 > GT3 4.0 (but I'm not a collector)

458 are going through a price adjustment, Fiat is selling too many of them and that doesn't help resale.

4.0RS is exclusive, somewhere around 150 total number for U.S. Every GT3 owner wants a 4.0RS, so it will depreciate at a slower pace than the Italia. There are almost 4,000 GT2/GT3 in U.S. (not counting the factory racer), and just a few 4.0RS. It is a sure collectible as the Metzger is history.

I also happen to have longevity and reliability information from the cars running in Vegas doing 150 laps a day, and the 458 is not working that well.
Rad, is that the gearbox issue you had mentioned in previous posts or is it something else?

Wink what to go for!

I think for this though decision we need to know the shade of the PTS colour.

Is it a one of PTS car or are there more in this colour?

what is the general colour code for the offered PTS car (yellow, red, green....)

I would decide on the uniqueness of the car.

have fun with the decision

not to go off topic, but i am curious about the inclusion of the 360 Spider in this list...could you elaborate about the appeal / reasons why?

Thanks,

If you can't do both at the moment, sell the 458, get the 4.0, purchase a depreciated 458 in a year or two if you still have the urge.

Thanks,
I can help.

The 360 F1 will work fine about 12 days each month.

If you get the manual (which you should btw), you can stretch this to 23-25..

Going to keep the 458...and per our moderator's suggestion a CGT will be next! Have been looking at a 1300 mile silver car but prefer red or black.

You can get in and out of the 458 right now without too much pain. That will not last.

If the pts 4.0 is riv, I'd get that. If it's maritime or orange, I'd stay away.

Rich-
What is your take on the 458? What are your impressions so far in terms of drivability, handling, and reliability?
I am interested in owning a Ferrari in the near future, so I am starting to do my due deligence.
