Stradale is a great car but then still bring 135K or so and they are all F1. A nice 360 spider 6 speed will be 40K less than that. I had a 360 six speed that I probably should still own. Great car and never broke.

430 in manual would be easier to own?

does the 360 require engine out service?

No it does not. I traded my F360 for an F430 F1. The biggest difference is that the 360 has belts that must be changed every 3 years and the F430 does not. The F430 offers more performance but is probably 40 to 50K more expensive. The difference in maintance costs is not that great. 2500 to 3K every 3 years.

What are the differences between a 360CS and a regular 360. Regards. Mike

It's more "red".

BTW did you know that Michael bought one?

Is like adding the 996 GT3 engine to the 996 Carrera then asking what's the difference between this hybrid and the 996.2 GT3 RS.

Way too much difference. The 360CS has carried 0 depreciation (it actually gained value) in the last 4 years, and currently it is worth almost twice as much as a Modena.

How is the F1 in the CS? Is the CS as quick as a regular F430? I just drove the F430 F1 - actually liked it a lot more than I thought I would.

I drove a 360 6spd coupe last year - that car drives like a bucket. The leather and trim was peeling back everywhere too. I wasn't impressed with it overall.

Can't speak for the hopped-up CS variant though. I'm sure it's better.

F1 in the CS and F430 is garbage. Slow, kind of SMG III slow. It is also not reliable under track conditions, many changes were applied over the years, with major re-engineering efforts during the Scuderia development.

The good F1 are in the Scuderia, 16M and 599 GTO. The semi-Good in the 599 GTB and 612. The garbage one in the F430 and anything before that.

As usual, if your driving is summarized as car shows, highway driving, cars and coffee, car wash, curb parking, etc, the F1 in the F430 and CS is perfect.

With the California, Fiat is back to day 1, and there it goes, a nice variety of tranny issues. First the Cali, then the 458, then 458.2, now with the 740Hp F12, all these guinea pigs + the F458 challenge program will help Getrag to improve the DCT, and the very first car to get the 4th iteration is coming at the end of next year.

430 manual transmission.

no belt service and no F1.

sounds like a winner.

Always great info on any high end car from you guys. The 430 manual or the Scud would be cool.

I had an f430 for 4 years. The f1 is actually pretty good. I enjoyed it over my 6 speed f360. I don't think there is enough difference in the F1 between my f430 and my 599 to matter. A 430 is not meant to be a track car. I was holding out for a new 430 with 6 speed and got an f1 instead. I think it's the right transmission for that car. I did not like the f1 before the 430. The f1 430 is a great street car and reliable.
