seriously: 2009 Scuderia vs. 4.0
#91
So pretty much, in summary, the Scuderia can't be touched, even the 4.0 or Porsche's best 911 GT offering.
Never thought I'd see this day, but hey, well done Ferrari! You beat Porsche at its own game with the Scud.
Disappointed in the Rennlist GT guys for not putting up a harder fight against our Fiatista!

VW Aero Beetle: Issues ==> broken axles, broken diff, brakes (affordable fix), blown engines (a few ones towed from track days in the last few months), RMS leaks, coolant lines falling apart, cracked side mufflers, cracked center muffler, bent drop links, broken rear sway bar mounts, broken clutch and pressure plates.
I can carry a bunch of brake pads and go through the day, but you can't carry a spare engine or tranny to go through the day.

- Autocross: Winner: Fiat, Loser: 4.0RS
- Drag Race: Winner: Fiat, Loser: all the Aero Beetles, time to bring the Turbo ones.
- Sebring Lap: what's your fast time at Sebring on DOT tires? 2:19? Winner: Fiat, Loser: 4.0RS

Ok Im on the iphone so I'll keep it short.
Assuming that with a sample of one we can say that statistically the Scuderia has no other issues. (and that's a big assumption mind you, cause if I start describing my horrible other F car stories and start googling, it probably won't stand)
LSD 350EUR fix DIY
RMS? None reported in the 2010 cars
Broken axles? I looked earlier and Rennlist has 8 threads and 29 hits 6/7GT axles hits in 10 years and 9 of them are yours. No 1/4 miles, no slicks, no 700 hp, no problem.
drop links? Sway bar mounts? factory height no problem, now added as a maintenance item for the 2010 cars. Cheap fix remove preload with adjustable ones from the cup cars.
ABS mentioned in your previous post is not a Porsche only issue.
I'll give you the 2010 PP (fixed on the 4 with a 25% failure ratio per my poll ), the coolant pipes and the cracked exhausts. (although I have to say that I prefer cracks over fires.)
The GT3s are not perfect and I am usually the one pointing out their chronic unresolved issues, but please include their fixes in the original purchase prices and you'll notice that with the money saved you can track a GT3 for about 5 years for free and pass Scuds in the track all day long while doing it. Yes they are still faster stock. Then you can rebuild the engine and drive it daily on the street for the next 30.
Blown engines as the rule on the most reliable race engine ever created? Come on!

Please find me one Ferrari, any color, any year, any model (you can even include the fiberglass copies with American V8s inside) with that millage and a down to earth maintenance bill and I will self ban myself, tattoo the Cavallino on my arm, join Ferrarichat and for two weeks sing Verdi for the flighty GT3.. È sempre misero chi a lei s'affida..
PS. I am glad that this time you didn't include the Cayenne in your list of reliable cars.

I have two friends that had Scuderias and sold them due to tranny issues and my grandmother drove harder than them.
If there were as many Scuderias as GT3s running and finishing events, I'm certain you will hear about many more Ferrari deficiencies.

Nope I did a 2:18s on RA1s in the 48 hours in traffic. Loser: super tuned; one lap wonder Fiat in sticky A6s. Easy winner; 4.0.
