I'm glad to see that size for the MK2's. I honestly don't care about street tires, they are simply tires to get me to and from my race shop, and the occasional trip by road. I paid $675 for a brand new, entire set of Toyos, 235/305's from ebay. They are fine.

Anybody with a MK1 looking for some cheap, new street tires, should check these out.

Larry, will you be trying the 325 rear on the non-RS? Think they'll fit?

My guess is that on an mk1 they will fit, just, if you remove the spacer. The fitting issue with this tire is that they come with a substantial 'lip' to protect the rim. From a performance perspective, I think it pays more to concentrate on getting a wider front (but that's my opinion).

The 245/35/19 is a good front tire but given that it is taller, if your mk1 is lower at all than stock, if you hit a big bump you will likely momentarily get fender rub at the top of the wheel well - otherwise I like this as a front tire. The 265/30/19 runs slightly shorter than stock and for anyone with a 9" rim I personally think this is a perfect tire to match a 305 rear (which really is a full width 305 - think 310).

A perfect setup for me would be a 275/30 and 325/30 - to do the 275 you would need rotated front struts - but it would fit.

I wish, I have a set of 305's to go through 1st... I am not certain that the 325's will fit on the back without some camber etc ...

245's up front would be nice though!
