ordered a set.
first track day at the new Ridge Motorsports Track on March 18th. I don't tow my car, so need tires that have wet performance.
thanks again to Larry Cable for all his hard work!

Larry, really appreciate you keeping us updated with all this info for so long, I have waited with anticipation for the 325/30ZR19 MPSS since I like to drive my GT2 in all weathers....
After being told that the tyre is not going to be available in the UK, Damon at Tirerack tells me that the tyre he can sellme has no ECE mark which means it may not be allowed into a European Country.
I wonder if you could find out a bit more about this size in the MPSS, is it being made specifically for all the GT3RSs which the US market took ?
Damon says he can ship it and it may get allowed into the UK even without the ECE marking but I am reluctant to fit a tyre which is not ECE approved and may have been made specifically for the US market and may not be rated/tested at the high speeds which other ECE tyres are certified at, any info on this issue would be appreciated

Apparently the product strategy between the US and Europe for the MPSS differs by region (if not by country). It seems as though Europe/U.K have expressed no interest in any/many of the new fitments, including those for Porsche like the 325.
Michelin N.A are going to check if the tire has ECE certification (or not) and also contact Michelin Europe/U.K to (potentially) begin any import paperwork to achieve this (this will not be quick).
While Michelin N.A do not approve of this, an interim solution would be to import via tirerack or similar dealer.
I will update this if/when I hear more details...
p.s
The only U.K representative I can recall being present (there must be more) at the Dubai launch is "honest john", you might consider contacting him to see if he can also lobby Michelin U.K?
p.p.s
You might also want to rally some other Porsche guys in the UK about this...

All Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires have ECE markings (including the new sizes we haven’t received yet).
The reason it may appear they are not ECE branded is because the South Bend warehouse fills in the ECE information into our database when they inspect the first tires to arrive here.
ECE fields will remain blank until we actually receive tires. As you know they are knocking on our doors. This information should becoming available in the next few weeks.

I never realized Michelin manufactured in the US ?
These tyres get an E2 "French" approval mark but does look like they are made specifically in and for the US market - sure hope they are happy over their 186mph "Y" rating !

how often do you exceed 186mph?

Often enough to worry about a tyre not being certified for over that speed
This model of tyre (in another size) is fitted to the Ferrari FF which can do 208mph so I am pretty sure this size will have the exact same construction so I am not worried really, the blurb nd TUV have tested and approve, just a little weird that Porsche haven't bothered ?
