I agree. If 2:17xx is possible on RA1's then 2:15xx or as Rad would say 2:16 is possible on R6 if all is fresh and perfect.

The RA1s are not that much slower than the R6s, and I drive RA1s. I don't care what the data and others say.

There is some truth to this, but IMO it depends on the track and the driving style.

It's the front grip that allows me a gear higher/better power out of the corner.
Plus 255 I think runs a bit wider ront. I wonder now that we are paying top dollar for fron RA1's we should run R6 front and RA1's rear. hmm, stiffer front bar..

NO.

Way different sidewall stiffness which equates to effective spring rates. Way different warm up and break away curves.

Don't even consider it unless it is an emergency.

All u guys have more fun in de mode than most of us do racing.

Seriously get a race car and go race. You will have that much more fun. Faster. Safer.

And, I don't think a .2 RS can get to a 15 unless you have full slicks. Remember a 15 is a decent but not great lap time for a 6 cup. But what do I know.

I do, but it would take perfect conditions & a really strong driver.

And a cage.

Or maybe I just need to jump back into de.

Most of you based on your times would be top third of time sheet in a cup car.

Well....as you know, a Cup on slicks, especially a 7 Cup, is a lot harder to drive at full potential than a GT3RS.

And there is also a BIG variation of talent between the top 20% of Cup drivers and everyone else...

Well u have the data. I just remember how hard it was to get to a 15 in my first 6 cup. And with 6 more years experience I don't see how I could do that even today in my RS. Of course according to my 12 year old I am getting old and slow.
