And thanks for the guidance on the washer. Took it for a test drive and it looks dry as can be, but I'll keep watch for any leaks.

In my DIY I did point out that you must loosen and remove the filler plug first so that you don't get yourself in a predicament.
I have the Mobilube PTX and have shipped some to Rennlisters. Send me a PM for the details.

I use the alum crush washers on both the drain and fill plugs. I also replaced the fill with a male 19mm plug which makes its VERY EASY to r&r. It's a <$10 part at your local Porsche dealer. Part no. 90012402001

We were just about to Post up this question, but figured to check through all the posts, just in case.
We had a customer asking for one of these, but couldn't find the P.N.
Thanks Del.

People still recommend the Delvac?
What is the real tool to use to loosen the fill plug? Disassembling a 10mm hex socket and putting a wrench on it (per the original DIY) isn't my speed, want to buy the correct single purpose tool

I used Mobilube since I wanted the factory fill.
Tool: I used a normal L shaped hex bit. It was a little tight so I shortened it a bit. Pro tip to get more leverage: slide a 10mm socket (with a breaker bar or whatever attached to it) over the hex bit.

Yup, I only use Delvac. For my 6GT3, 7GT3, and 6TT. When Copans said to only use Delvac on my Mezger boxes, I haven't used anything since then. The part number for the replacement insert I'll have to check later when I have access to my "book".
With that said, I use the Shell factory stuff in my wife's CAB.
