Default Personal lap times in your GT3?

Hallo from scandinavia,

I now the GT3 GENII/MKII has a record of 7:40:00 on Nurburgring but it was driven by Horst von Saurma, who nearly live at the track :-)

I was wondering if anyone in here has ever done a lap at the same track in there GT3, and if so, what was your time? And was in on a turistday (Not a full lap) or by private event etc?

Welcome!
Not many of us have been lucky enough to drive the RIng, let alone master it enough to post a decent lap.

I only have a few laps in a rental car and I think anyone going for a fast lap within the first 100 laps is suicidal ;-)

Larry Cable?
Carreras Jim?

Not on a 997 GT3, but I've done a few 9ish min laps. Can't help you much.

On the other hand I always finish my steaks under the 7:30 mark. Yes I am pretty consistent.
My Pistenklause record can only be threatened by Larry.

I can't challenge your 9 minute laptime, I was to scared and overwhelmed to time myself in the 120! from rentracecar.de ;-)
Your Pistenklause times however are pathetic, not even a challenge.
I'll go up against Larry anytime with beer and steak for time and quantity. Perhaps I can be a winner at the Ring after all.

I've never timed any of my laps at the ring.

fastest I timed (courtesy sport chrono wart) during a touristfarhren day was 8:01 BtoG in my 7.1 GT3... back in '07 ... 8:15'-30's in E92 M3 and 997 C2Ses ...

I was very very lucky that day and had very little traffic, that which I did I was able to overtake ... on the tourist days all it takes is one car to trash your times if you are not in a position to blast past them ...

I think the best tourist BtoG I have heard of is around 7:45-50 or so ... GT3 ...

I suggest scuderia hanseat, manthey customer day or BMW Intl fahrer school, that's the only way you may get a full flying lap time... but you can estimate your flying lap from a BtoG since the difference is the 1.7km straight from the gantry to the bridge, its about an extra 20 secs...

8:01 BtoG in my 7.1 GT3
I'm impressed
For those who have not driven the Ring; You must. Or you will never understand.
Does not matter what you bring for at least the first 30 laps, you must drive it.

I went once.

6 laps and it's the closest I have ever been to concider becoming single again, so I could have kept going.
1 day Ring was about equal to one night room with big terras (There's only one) at Hotel Villa Cipriani in Asolo Italy; Our next stop.

I should also say that was after 4 consecutive days tracking there; 1 manthey day and 3 tourist days ... really concentrating on the line, and working on the "slow" parts, mine not the track ... I think I also had a passenger ...
