So what would you guys suggest for a 997 GT3 owner who was about to do the RS flywheel in terms of what clutch and pp to use?

you have a 3.6......from avitar

different clutch / pp than a 3.8

Use 3.6 parts

Why do that when I can do pick and delivery service? I will pick the car up, break it, and then take it to the dealer for you

Jenk, you might be able to call Chris and see if he can come up with something to get you fixed already. Would suck to be halfway across the country this summer when it happened.

Bmwtye, I upgraded my pp to a gt2 pp when I had my .1gt3. Had no issues with doing that and the lightweight flywheel

Dez, that what I'm thinking as far as getting it done before mancationIII

Anyone know if this is happening on the 997.2 GT3 (non-RS)?

Chris,

From what I understand, it is limited to only RS's.

The 997.2GT3 uses the 997.1GT3 / 996 GT3 clutch and PP.

The FW is unique and new to the 997.2GT3 non RS.

Btw I am going to merge the 2 threads.

2,500 miles on car and no track days. Pressure plate failed. Dealer replaced clutch and PP.

Thanks Nick and John. I hate to keep throwing "what if's" but what if you have the 997.2RS LWFW install? I have approx. 9100 miles and no issues, knock on wood. Had Orbit do the RS LWFW install a couple thousand miles ago and the car seems to be running better than ever--what a difference. I will make a post if this changes.
