i help store friends car and exercise them.
all parts i buy or sell, i do so on behalf of my friends.
this is why i have to keep changing cars. b/c i dont have friends stupid enough to keep their car in my garage for 4-5 years. so every 8-10 months, cars move in and out ;(

If you really want to know what I think...I think you have too many Porsches. Since everyone is telling you to get rid of the 3.8 RS, I'll happily take it off your hands. I love that car.

They have another '76 that was restored by Porsche in Germany... but I wanted the unrestored car, as I like the original color better. And I wanted the experience of participating in a full-blown restoration of a classic.
Here are the cars they have for sale:

Note the Silver 70 911S I looked at... she is amazing! Flawless.
And the Brown '76 RS....not a fan of the color, but the car is cherry.
I have been looking for the right classic for about a year. I brought my check book to Rennsport 4, but didn't see a whole lot for sale.... and most of them were not road-going.
I paid a fair price for the car. Most of the cost is going into the restoration, which is literally a full rotisserie resto... this car will be better than new. But all original. And it's a matching #'s car... even the motor block is original (not a replacement with factory re-stamp) with no damage or past repair. I am stoked. She's certified and has letter from Porsche verifying it's rarity and that the coveted 76's do exist and that this car is legit. And it will not simply sit in my garage, but I plan on driving it too.... not on track, but sunday cruises and to Porsche events, etc.
If you are interesting in classic 911's, I suggest you give CPR a call. They can fill you in and help you find whatever you are looking for. Brian, the owner, knows of a third '76, but I don't know if it's for sale or not.

Way to go Dude! It is guys like you that keep Porsche history alive. It was very humbling to be at RRIV and chat with guys (maybe like you) who have owned/maintained vintage Porsches and bring them to share.
Thanks!
