Allan.....the .1 and .2 refer to the generation 997 GT3 cars so a 997.1 GT3 would mean a 2007 or 2008 model and a 997.2 GT3 is a 2010 or 2011.

which generation of 997 car...

2007-2008 997 3.6L GT3 & RS are generation 1 or .1 cars...

2010-2011 997 3.8L GT3 and RS are generation 2 or .2 cars...

this also applies to the 996's with the 1999-2000 996's being .1's and the 2004 cars being .2's ...

Ok I get it. I just purchased a 2007 GT3RS from a buddy who is upgrading to the 4.0. So I would have to say keep the 2007 GT3RS and the 4.0.

Thanks Again

Allan

either:

a) (have her) seek immediate counseling...

b) start paying obvious attention to younger women with large "accoutrements"... and mention that you really aren't spending as much time on "car stuff" as you would like to ...

c) next time that your car is in a shop (or away at the track for the day/weekend(*)), get them installed, she will never notice... if she does, just claim its always looked like that!

I personally have avoided (a) but successfully employed both (b) and (c)

(*) have them shipped to me or mooty, that way she will not know you have them ...

Or tell her the wing and splitter were gifts from a track buddy who was cleaning out his garage after he sold his car
