That was what I was afraid to find out. I order a set of motorsports Cup front rotors and they will arrive tomorrow for comparison

He got the RS29 U8004

What you need is the RS29 U8003, this one is 2mm thinner.
U8004 works but requires much more messing around to install if you have new discs.

A friend of mine upgraded the steel front brakes of his 997.1 GT3RS. They installed the calipers of the 997.2 and installed 997.1 cup discs. These are very different from the discs shown so far in this thread:

The 8003's are very difficult to get your hands on! ... at least here.

How many pro teams use HOLED rotors...virtually none. GO SLOTTED - we have them for the 2010/up GT3.
