Cup wing is an over kill on street GT3 ... trust me! You get plenty rear down force than your car ever need just by tilting the RS wing up. 997 Cup rear wing is very flimsy - the metal support is very thin and the whole wing vibrates when you go over bumps etc.

Yeah it's bad.. who needs more downforce and less drag in the rear.. And imagine that you can actually see stuff in your rear-view mirror and it's also lighter..

Mike go polish that real cup car of yours and let us mortals shop around useless items. Ok mate?

PS. Love you.

this is true. it is flimsy and wobbles.... and one dosnt need this much additional downforce in a street GT3.

Now, that being said, if your GT3 is a stripper that sees 160mph on tracks quite often then yeah, it is a nice feature.

But full interior street cars need not apply....

I've been using the 997 CUP wing with the Getty 997 CUP lid for a couple of years now with no problems. I'm still using the stock GT3 air box although we're planning to switch to the 997 Cup air intake that has a plastic funnel that fits against the lid and the air filter fits in the lid. This will require moving the MAF so we're not going to do the switch until we can get the car on a dyno to make sure that relocating the MAF doesn't screw something up. I do plan to switch to the later wing blade which is longer than the earlier one. Dedicated track car that sees 150+ on a regular basis, the 997 cup air scoop apparently shows positive pressure at speed so we're expecting a bit more speed on the straights.
