Default Cup wing options?

So I have decided to keep my 997.1 GT3 and spend some money on it instead of selling it as originally planned.

First thing will be to upgrade the suspension fully but I also really want to fit the Cup rear wing from the first 997 Cup cars. What are my options for this? Fitting the original isnt going to work as it deletes the MAF and my car is a road car and i'm not keen to hack up a nice carbon kevlar deck lid and my original to try to mate them. I can get hold of the wing itself and the uprights but its the deck lid thats the issue here.

So whats the answer then people?

Well, whatever you decide to do, know that with fibreglass and CF you get what you pay for. Dry-laid carbon fibre is lighter and stronger than wet-laid CF, but 3x the price (if not more). The same goes for Fibreglass.

How can a wing delete a MAF?

I think he meant that the cup decklid will not work as you need to convert to cup air intake and you also lose the fan

so I think the cup air intake ditches the maf etc.

+100 for Getty

Great quality, and his fiberglass is as light as other companies carbon ( I have weighed them myself)

Just call them and tell them what decklid you want and what car it is going on and they will make it.

I have their 2010 Cup decklid on my 997 Carrera S race car and it looks amazing.

Different shape inside the cup lid. The stock airbox and MAF assembly do not fit.

Sounds like Getty it is then

Is it worth going for the carbon over the fibreglass?

How was the fitment?

Mine is in transit -- cannot attest to fitment yet...
I have been told by others that Getty stuff is good but cannot verify it just yet.

Is it worth going for CF over fiberglass?
I went with the CF but mainly because CF car parts give me a stiffy... will I notice a difference from the drivers seat? I am not expecting to.

I will notice when I open the engine compartment and see that raw CF... its like seeing the hardwood floors on crazy canuck avatar if you know what I mean...

+1 Getty CF stuff fits very well...I would think PJ will be happy and report good results. I had a bunch of CF prts from Getty on my 993 race car and it was extremely high quality.

Got it
Looks good
However it is lacking the air scoops that others have and that are pictured on getty's website
My supplier is trying to reach Getty to discuss if that is an additional piece or what

I'm thinking about the same two changes to my '07. How about an RS wing? And what suspension are you considering?
