It's a great hour of entertainment. Understandably self-serving given Audi's central role in this but still a great flick. I wonder how it would've ended if they DIDN'T finish the way the did LOL...

Thanks for pointing this out. Just watched it on iTunes. No doubt a marketing exercise, but that's what racing is at that level.

+1

This years race was the most exciting Lemans that I've seen.

I wish that the daytona prototypes were even half as good looking as the Audi and peugeot prototypes. I realize it's a whole different financial league, but good God they are some butt ugly race cars. Lemans reminds me what a sports racer is supposed to look like (if not sound like).

A: Does a bear **** in the woods?

One of the best Motorsports movies made IMO, seen it maybe 20 times.

Have to agree. It passes the ultimate test, too: It's good whether or not you like cars. It's simply a great story, told well and turned out beautifully. The fact it's about cars is a pretty big bonus for we car nuts, as there haven't been very many films we can point to proudly as cross-overs.

My wife liked Truth in 24 so much she now wants to go to Le Mans more than I do! The downside: She has a crush on McNish and has become one of his FB followers, but I'm not all that worried about it because she likes her men tall and has yet to lay eyes on him in real life...

I was lucky enough to get the last copy from my (then) local Audi dealership a couple of years ago. Excellent movie. I guess it was filmed/edited/produced by NFL Films. I've since given my copy to my Grandfather who was an engineer on the GT40's that won LeMans back in the 60's, he absolutely loved it and everytime I see him he says he's watched it X amount of times...
