Alternatives to Permanent Clear Bra?
Are they any alternative products (low tack or static) that can be used for the bumper, hood and fenders that can be taken off after a track weekend?
(I.E. do it yourself temp clear bra?)

yes, buy a big roll of clear bra and do it yourself. it won't look pretty but it comes off when you're done. 60" x 50' roll will last you a very long time. it's not easy to put on initially, but once you get the hang of it, it's quick

Do you know where I can buy the stuff?

I think I have looked at all options. Some will work, but seem a hassle to apply and remove.
3M did not work too well, orange peel look and it gets yellow, no problem on colored cars, but on white it is tough. My double thick Vinyl is peeling and coloring all shades of yellow and orange from heat.
I have all my hopes pinned on the new Ultimate film Xpel that is coming out next month. No orange peel and the thickest protection coat and warranty against yellowing for 7 years! One shot deal and done.

I used some plain white vinyl. We cut it into pieces and used heat gun to smooth it out. We tried out best to integrate it into the design.
Redneck ingenuity.
*Edited with better picture showing 1970 911E that belongs to the guy who owns the sign shop that made my decals and temporary front opaque bra, bro.

Zbobby, I'd say that is a great job with the white vinyl for a track day.
There is a company called Track Wrap that sells clear stuff. I got some samples once and did my mirros and behind the rear tires. It stayed on for weeks in the rain and 4 track days no problem. They probably use some industrial stuff....wish I knew where to buy in bulk.

What clear bra brand and model do you all recommend for a black car that sees track duty? I need something very durable.

I use this temporary clear bra: http://www.buyroadwrap.com/ It doesn't look anywhere near as good as a professional clear bra installation IME, but it will protect the finish. I don't track, but I use it for long expressway trips. I ordered direct, but I recently saw it for sale at pep boys.
I've also used clear shelf paper for temporary paint protection. Looks a bit weird, but it works.

Looks like the perfect solution for me as I would rather not clear bra.

What is the most durable clear bra material?
I am going to have my car done and want to know a little more about what brand and model of film is best for a black car that will be tracked.
