Hey guys I got a letter with a blue mouse pad telling me
that I was a qualifying participant in a Porsche upgrade program.
other than telling me that I can expect "UNPRECEDENTED EXCEPTIONAL"
trade in value, there are really no other details at ALL!

Is there any deals you know of or coming up? It says May 15 to Sept 30 2011
is the time of the program. I might be interested in a GTS or something if there is some program I dont know about.

Any insiders know why I got this vague letter? I appreciate the mouse pad, but I would have liked to know some details.

I will X post this in the 997 forum to see if anyone knows anything.

Sit tight for 991.... 997's aren't going anywhere. Porsche is looking for suckers to help clear the lots before launching the better 991 late this year.

I got an e-mail from my dealer telling me I was one of the elite few that was scheduled to get such a letter, but I haven't received the letter yet.

I will offer to trade in my 07GT3RS even up for a 4.0RS. That would be unprecedented and exceptional.

I have to admit GREAT answers!
Unfortunately I think Laguna Dude hit the nail on the head.
I didnt even process the fact that the 991s are coming and the 997s on the lots now
are sitting ducks.
John that was good too, I have been finding my self driving the 928 alot lately.
Saving the 911.
Only problem is you cant talk about the 928 on the forum because they are highly sensitive about
the 911 superiority.

Then again, I have never received anything from Porsche. I had to buy the promo kit for the 3.8..

I used to do some work for a company that provides dealer management software. One service they provided was data mining for customers that have a high potential for trading in their cars and sending them a letter or postcard with similar wording.

The app is called Gold Digger. Go figure.

I called my dealer and he told me that if my car was worth $50K then Porsche would
give me $52K instead.
