Quite a bit, Larry. Besides Prescott, we are also going to Shelsley Walsh for some hill climbing racing there with vintage Jaguar club!
Back on topic, driving Cayman R back to back to a Spyder is precisely what those who attended the Porsche World Roadshow were able to do on the autocross. I enjoyed both. You can't go wrong with either one. I even drove down to the World Premiere at the LA Auto Show to see car for myself so I seriously considered the Cayman R. In the end, I chose the Spyder for these reasons:
A) Its unique look!
B) It is a convertible & easier choice to make for one like me that lives in California
C) Lower Price (base MSRP is only $61800 for MY2012 vs Approx $5K more for the base '12 Cayman R)
Like others have said in this forum, most owners (including those who also own a gt3 RS's besides a Spyder) think the world of this particular model and believe it will be a future classic!
Personally, I don't think Porsche will try to repeat the Spyder in the new platform when that comes out in 2012. It was not a particular 'seller'. But neither was the 356 Speedsters in its day and look how they rank now in Porsche mythology.
