Default RSR styling?

I wasn't sure where to post this but this seemed about as good as any. I was wondering if there are any "kits" or shops that can do an RSR widebody conversion. I know a while back there was an 07 GT3 that had some wide flares. How much would something like this run?

Thanks in advance

Getty Design (http://www.gettydesign.com/) is currently splashing this bodywork, including the GT3-R variant. You'll need the following wheels:

Front axle: 11 x 18” offset 30 mm
Rear axle: 13 x 18” offset 12 mm

And you'll need to cut the rear fenders. The rear bumpers are made to accommodate either .1 or .2 LED tail lights.

Of course, not cheap:

(Delete parts required according to use <street/track>)

Hood $960
Doors $2200
Mirrors $730
Fenders $1560
Quarters $899
Bumper - FRT $1800 + $360 Splitter
Bumper-REAR $1800
Decklid - Wing $3600
Tail Lights (Opt) $800
Rear Undertray $TBA
Roof Skin $400 (Factory Steel) or CF from Getty

Body Panel Total: $15,000 +/-
Labor Body: $?

Rims (5-lugs) $3-5,000
Tires $1500-2000

The conversion would be high risk for street use....frt. splitters are ridiculously low. If you want PMNA panels, triple the cost above.

Oh...and if you want to really complete the look, go with center locks from the CGT at a cost of $5300 plus labor. If you do this, then the proper RSR BBS Motorsports wheels will run you $9800 a set.

Wait a second....why do I know so much about this?

Here is a thread off 6-Speed where someone is converting a GT2 to RSR body, etc. It appears there haven't been any updates in a couple months, however. There are also not too many detailed pics of the panels/body coming together.

The .1 and .2 or I should say the 2009 and the 2011 rear bumpers are different to accommodate the different tail lights. There's also a difference between the 2007 and the 2009 front bumpers. You just have to be specific on which one you want.

BTW cost wise when all is said and done upwards of $40K easily...the result one badass ******* car!!

A local shop is supposed to start converting a brand new GT3RS to completely RSR bodywork soon.

So in order to the whole conversion the "right" way with Porsche Motorsport parts is ball park 40k? How much would it be to slap some wider flares on the car, less of the RSR feel but still have that widebody look.

Thanks for all the help so far!

The only choices you are going to have at the moment is the Getty or PM parts...I'm not aware of any other "flares" for all four corners of a 997 that are "less of the RSR (or R) feel."

There may be some out there, but I haven't seen them.

....not an RSR, but a metal widebody conversion with OEM Cup decklid. (also Gemballa Carbon fiber hood, Gemballa side skirts, Porsche Motorsports roll cage, StopTech STR brakes, HRE wheels, alcantara GT2 seats, K40 Calibre, and a bunch of other stuff)

This conversion cost considerably more than $40K.
